This depends on the hospital. Your pre-anaesthesia assessment may be performed by the anaesthesiologist who later cares for you, another anaesthesiologist, or a trained member of the preoperative team working within local systems. The anaesthesiologist responsible for your anaesthetic should review the relevant assessment and confirm the plan before anaesthesia.
